Cars drive into the darkening skies of Northern Skye in Scotland.

The remnants of Storm Henry left the forecast for sunset looking overcast and so we decided to attempt photos that didn't require particularly good light. After picking a scenic portion of A855 that loops around the northenrmost parts of Skye, we set up our tripods and waited for passing cars.

For those that love driving, Scotland is a great place to enjoy well-surfaced windy roads with epic scenery.

The corner of one of the battlements of Stirling Castle offers a lovely view over the city of Stirling. The church in the distance juxtaposes a structure of religion with a structure of war.

The quintessential Highland hill, striated by years of tiny streams wearing away their rocky faces. In this photo they are shown up in shadowy contrast by the setting sun off to the right of the frame.

Post processing: 3 exposure HDR, crop, grayscale conversion, sharpening.
