Something a bit different . . . normally in this spot you'd be setting up to shoot Castle Stalker at sunset. But in battling the midges and a very high tide, I spotted this lone tree and fence surrounded by the incoming tide.

Probably the most famous abandoned boats in Scotland. The 3 fishing boats Girl Claire, Pavonia and Elsie May outside of Salen on the Sound of Mull looked very photogenic in the morning light. I was looking for an alternate angle with this image.

I remembering seeing these over 10 years ago, so interesting to see how they have decayed over time.

I know it's cliché and taken in the glaring afternoon sun, not even the right time of day either. But I had to stop here on the way down to Loch Etive.

The coast and beaches between Arisaig and Mallaig are truly breathtaking. Not only beautiful but no crowds, this a shot of the family on the beach (you can just make them out).
