There really is nothing quite like an abandoned church for sending a chill down your spine. On a fantastic summers evening there were some really dark corners of the church yard that felt unnerving. Dappled sunlight from the trees ensured nothing quite looked what it seemed.

There really is nothing quite like an abandoned church for sending a chill down your spine. On a fantastic summers evening there were some really dark corners of the church yard that felt unnerving. Dappled sunlight from the trees ensured nothing quite looked what it seemed.

Nasty shot this, shooting straight into the sun the contrast in the scene was immense. Fusion processed HDR from 5 exposures (no call for yucky tone mapping in this image). To emphasize the sun rays I had a play with a trial copy of Digital Film Tools - 'Rays' plugin. Not a plugin that you would have that much call for, but in this case I think it's really added to the overall scene.
