Though my Craftster friend Original Youth I found the Crafting 365 Flickr Group. The past few months I have been getting back to crafting as a way to be myself and work through some things in my life. I love the idea of this group and can't wait to challenge myself to craft every day and document the process.
I made this bag this afternoon and evening. I had a hard time getting going today so I was happy to get this started. All of the materials are from my stash. The red is thin wale corduroy, the print purchased from when Craftmart by me went out of business. The black cotton straping I think I bought from JoAnns. The stencil is based on a clipart found on the 'net. This will be sent out on Monday to someone as part of a wish swap, hope she likes it!

Today's project was a dress for my Blythe dolls. I've recently become obsessed with the little things and they make a fantastic crafty outlet. I always loved the little clothes my grandmother made my Barbie dolls but my own attempts left much to be desired. Never though I'd be able to sew so tiny, but it really isn't that bad.
This is the dress in progress. I took a pattern for an a-line dress and changed it to a wrap dress. The plastic on the dolls can stain so it is suggested to line things with plain cotton. what I do when I can is trace the seamlines on the back of the fabric and sew what I can, rather than trying to do all those little seams with cut pieces. Then I cut it would and finish up the side seams.
All materials from my stash. The little bit of pink/peach was from a scrap grab bag (I cannot resist grab bags).

Not much crafting time today so I just made a simple skirt for my Blythe Bobbie Wickham.
The fabric and ribbon was received tonight in a swap. Simple elastic gathering with the Bonfit elastic wizard foot. I haven't used it in ages but I still need to hunt up the manual for my serger so I can learn how to use the elastic foot for it.
The quilt she is standing on still needs to have the binding stitched onto the backing.
