Always a colourful occassion with some fantastically large and unusual kites. The wide angle view from the beach.
It looks good View Large, you can make out the smaller kites easier.

I've got a few old wrecks in my stream now. This one arose from the mud only recently. It might just be my own vanity but I get this feeling that they are appearing with the sole purpose of being photographed by me, before sinking to a final oblivion.
They say that each boat has a unique personality. This one retains more than a little pride to me. Proud of its appearance even in its death throes. It seems to wear its seaweed and barnacles with a certain panache. A crown of decay on an aged princess.

A low tide, a beautiful calm evening and a painted scene at the waters edge. Two fishermen left their tackle and wandered out aways along a submerged sandbank. I don't know if they had a reason for doing it but I'm glad they did.
