A portrait of a pair of baby ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta) playing in the forest of the Anja Community Reserve in the south of Madagascar. Approximately 300 ring-tailed lemurs, locally known as maki, live in the reserve giving it the highest concentration of ring-tailed lemurs in all of Madagascar.

Silhouetted baobab trees reflect in a small pond as the last glow of sunset begins to fade along Madagascar’s famous Avenue of the Baobabs, or Allée des Baobabs. The Avenue of the Baobabs is a prominent grove of Grandidier's baobabs growing alongside the unpaved national road 8 near Morondava. These endemic and endangered trees are approximately 100 feet tall and estimated to be up to 2800 years old.
