This photograph was taken during a short week of holidays in Gerês. We were not very lucky with the weather, as it rained most of the time. In spite of those stormy days, we spent a couple of good days there, as we sought some compensation in the wonderful local gastronomy.
Gerês is one of the most beautiful sites of Portugal. Forest, lakes and mountain fill our eyes and hearts with joy. The kind of place you dream of to rest and photograph. Though the bad weather, I filled a card of 32 GB that may have likely been deleted by mistake. The card is now in the hands of an expert that is doing the impossible to recover all those photographs. What a piity!

In Gerês, the landscape is often revealed through the various pathways that allow us discover the surrounding terrain.

It was impossible to recover my card. So, I only have some photos left from those days. I have to go back there! :)
