Laughing Gull Attempted Predation of a Black Skimmer Chick. I will post 2 more photos of the attack then a rescue photo. Being hatched on a public beach it is a wonder that any chicks survive with all they have to go through. Laughing gulls just being one of their obstacles. After stealing the chick from the nest, the Laughing Gull dropped and shook the chick (a few times) before flying off.
