I reprocessed this image in the native resolution of my Macbook Pro Retina Display (2880X1800) to make a desktop image for it and uploaded it here in that resolution as an experiment. If you take a look at the Original size and then imagine all those pixels compressed to a 15" screen, you can get an idea of how awesome it looks on my Mac. Looks pretty good here, too, in Fullscreen, but nowhere near as good as on my Mac.

By the way, this isn't an HDR. Just a few layers adjustments, fixes with the Spot Healing brush, and a little work with the Sharpen Tool, in Photoshop CS6.

My favorite gull species, since the beautiful bright-orange bill makes it the easiest to identify. I don't know what's up with the split lip. I actually cloned it out in Photoshop after I had already posted it to Flickr, because I didn't like the way it looked, but then I decided to check out other images on the Internet and found others with this same pattern (injury?) so I decided to leave it this way, because it's probably natural and common. I hope it's not from fighting.
