What a sweet face! As far as I know, she still doesn't have a name, other than Miss Pink. I'd be hard pressed, myself, to find the name of a chili to go with her feminine charm.

As the puppies were being raised, the breeder tied pieces of ribbon of different colors on each one, so that she could tell them apart. Roso was purple, then there was an orange one and a black one, in addition to pink. The breeder had a very hard time deciding which of the puppies to keep and I can certainly see why. She ended up deciding on orange, but pink was a close second.

Here's a link to a video of the puppies, when they were just two weeks old: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC6AFVp9as4. (Click the link on the page for the second half.) I think I can tell which one is Roso, even without a ribbon. Here's another one at 3 1/2 weeks: www.youtube.com/watch?v=GIziFCAhqF4.

One of the great things about Vizslas is their sense of teamwork, which Roso is demonstrating here by stopping to see where I want to go next. In Search and Rescue, it is the handler's job to set the strategy so that the dog gets downwind, at the appropriate distance for the conditions, of the whole assigned area. It is the dog's job to locate, using any and all of his senses, any human in the area to which the handler directs him, to come all the way back to the handler and indicate that he has made the find (Roso does this by touching my hand with his nose), then to lead the handler back to the subject.

Even though area search dogs rarely find the subject on real searches, due to the fact that the subject is almost never in their assigned area, they provide a valuable service, anyway, by eliminating their area, so that the search managers can systematically check large areas more efficiently than they could if only people were involved. We take tests and practice the whole procedure a lot, in order to ensure that our teams are reliable, so that they don't miss subjects who happen to be in their area. Even with all the practice, we acknowledge that dogs are not perfect and will not always make the find, but they are still one of the best tools available to search managers.
