After our morning search dog training, yesterday, I was shooting these beautiful little flowers, whatever they are, when this tiny butterfly flew by and landed on one of them. Simultaneously, one of our members called me over to shoot these giant spiders that they had found. So it was butterfly - spiders, butterfly - spiders. Didn't take me long to make that decision. The spiders could wait. They weren't going anywhere.

The bees absolutely love this tree! (So do I!) There were hundreds of them all over it and it's about 20-30 feet high. I'd never seen one before, that I know of, and it is as interesting as it is beautiful. You can see some of the stages of the blooming, but there are other parts on the tree that I have no idea what their function is.

I changed the photo that I posted at the last moment, because I wanted to share an incredible video that I found out about last night and this one is much more appropriate to it than the one that I was going to post.

This image is dedicated to my South African friend Ilse, who was recently married to Robert Louden (whom she met here on Flickr, I think). Congratulations, Ilse and Robert!

You may have already seen this video, since it has over 5,000,000 views, and I had seen the first part, prior to last night, but I hadn't realized that there was a second part. I just love this, but you might have to be old, like me, to appreciate it. ;-)
