Duffy is a Border Collie and at 4 1/2 months is one of Southwest Search Dogs' newest search dogs. This image was captured just after he had done an excellent job on his search training, ranging way out in front of his handler, easily making the find, spending just a second or two at the subjects before coming all the way back to his handler to indicate he had found the subjects, then leading his handler back to the subjects. And what's his reward for such impressive work? A grungy tennis ball. (Actually, he had a bunch of treats, too, but he ate them too fast to photograph.) Best viewed large.
