During our trip to France we visited Les Baux-de-Provence, a medieval village and castle and just nearby was Le Carrières de Lumières. Set up in a former limestone quarry they project paintings and pictures onto the huge walls, floor and ceiling along with music. We saw the Giants of the Renaissance- works by Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael with classical music.
What an amazing place- and so cool, a welcome relief from the hot July sun.

Interesting trip to Panther Creek Falls which is near the Columbia River in Washington. I had read about a viewing platform but the best photos come from getting down to the base of the falls. We were contemplating this when we bumped into a couple of women who were going to do the difficult'ish hike down. Later we saw them down there and when I next looked one of the women was completely naked having her photos taken by the other! Turned out to be a local photographer doing a naked in nature project.....(if you see this please let me know)
Anyway, it made for an interesting afternoon and it was definitely worth getting to this low viewpoint.

It states online that Caffè Florian is the oldest coffee serving house in the world! Hard to believe it opened in 1720! It is situated along one edge of Piazza San Marco in Venice.

Just thinking back to my visit to the US in 2012 while preparing for another road trip 4 weeks tomorrow :-) This time it's going to be the east coast but in 2012 we covered Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota and a little nip through Idaho.

A few weeks ago I traded in my D7100 for my first full-frame DSLR- the Nikon D750. Today was my first real outing with it and I headed to Farnham where I work to take sone shots of the Christmas lights. This is the Lion and Lamb yard, just along from my Post Office.
