You can't always have everything in life - I really would have liked the Big Easy to be illuminated but it wasn't - maybe if I had waited past blue hour they would have switched the lights on. Never mind- I was happy to reach this location that had been on my list for quite a while. We visited Canary Wharf to see the winter light displays and just nipped round the corner for this shot first.

On Monday I spent the day on a Wex photo/video photographic workshop run by professional photographer Martine Hamilton Knight. The day was split into morning and afternoon sessions. The morning was in Bromley House Library- a beautiful Georgian building right in the heart of Nottingham. It's a members only library and has some stunning areas.
