At 200 meters on the right, after the entrance there is the first monument of Petra: the Djin, are 5 meters high rectangular stone blocks. Behind these blocks there is an opening that leads to a room dedicated to the dead with an area of 9 square meters and also many graves dug into the ground.
The facade is of Assyrian style: a style known in the second century before our era.
A 200 metri sulla destra c'è il primo monumento di Petra : Il Djin . Sono blocchi rettangolari in pietra alti 5 metri . Dietro a questi blocchi c'è una apertura che conduce a una sala dedicata ai morti con un'area di 9 metri quadrati e anche molte tombe scavate nel suolo .
La facciata è di stile Assiro : uno stile conosciuto nel II secolo prima della nostra era .

Petra : Entrance to the " Siq " - Tomb to the Obelisk .
The Tomb of the Obelisk which was carved by the Nabataeans in the first century AD. In the upper part of the Tomb there are 4 pyramids ("Nafesh") and also a niche with a statue made in low relief which symbolically represents the 5 people buried here.
In the lower part of the tomb is the Triclino which was the banquet hall.
Since 1985 it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site .
Tomba dell'Obelisco che fu scolpita dai Nabatei nel primo secolo A.D.
Nella parte alta della tomba ci sono 4 piramidi ( " Nafesh ") ed
anche una nicchia con una statua realizzata in basso rilievo che raffigura simbolicamente le 5 persone qui sepolte .
Nella parte bassa della tomba si trova il triclino che era la sala dei banchetti .
Dal 1985 è Patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO .

Along the Siq which is a natural passage with very high walls (it can reach 100 meters) and the width varies from 3 to 17 meters, you can see very particular angles, some fruit of millennial erosions, others the result of telluric upheavals. Of these I have chosen 3 of the most significant for me.
Lungo il Siq dalle pareti altissime ( alcune circa 100 metri ) e largo da 3 a 17 metri ,si possono vedere angoli molto particolari ,alcuni frutto di erosioni millenarie ,altre frutto di stravolgimenti tellurici . Di questi ne ho scelti 3 tra i più significativi per me .
