The town was destroyed several times by earthquakes ,struggle with Spartan for supremacy of the Peloponnesian peninsula ,Rome ,barbarian invasion , It found the Syracuse colony .

La città venne distrutta diverse volte da terremoti ,lotta con Sparta per la supremazia del Pelopponeso ,Roma ,invasioni barbariche .Fondò la città di Siracusa come colonia .
