While enjoying a boat ride at the floating gardens of Xochimilco in Mexico City, I bought a michelada, a popular beer-based cocktail in Mexico that is made with lime, hot sauce, Worcestershire and Clamato juice. What is unique to this particular cocktail is that it is prepared and sold by mobile boat vendors that come up right to your boat. Service with a smile! And yes, I drank that entire “Big Gulp” size michelada!

Mexico City, Mexico - June 10, 2019: Barrio Chino (Chinatown) is a neighborhood located in the downtown area of Mexico City, near the popular Palacio de Bellas Artes in Parque Alameda.
Mexico City’s Chinatown has existed for 100 years but was not a tourist attraction until Chinese New Year celebration in 2018. It is very small with only one main street filled with restaurants and shops. I liked this composition with the floating umbrellas, but I could not do a longer exposure due to the high winds blowing them to and fro!

Mexico City, Mexico - June 10, 2019: An evening view with traffic light trails of the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts). Palacio de Bellas Artes is a prominent cultural center in Mexico City hosting many exhibitions and theatrical performances.
I packed my tripod for this 15 day trip to Mexico, but my only use of it was this particular evening and of course I got photobombed by the local traffic! Well, you can't avoid the traffic in this enormous metropolis of 21 million people (the second largest city in the world)!
