Callejon de los Sapos or the Alley of the Toads is my favorite street in Puebla, Mexico. The vibrant colors are like candy for photographers. Along this street one can find many antique shops, bars and restaurants set in old houses.
Why the name Alley of the Toads? Local history claims that when it would rain in the past, this is where the toads would congregate.
With this much beauty who could blame the toads?!

Puebla has a large historic center with magnificent architecture that has resulted in it being named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its city plaza or zocalo is the perfect place to sit at an outdoor café, drink an espresso and people watch. I would stroll through the zocalo every night and just admire all the illuminated Christmas decorations.

The Amparo Museum in Puebla, Mexico houses a large collection of Pre-Hispanic, colonial, modern, and contemporary Mexican art. The museum is housed in two colonial buildings, one a mansion, the other a former hospital. Its modern interior makes a nice contrast with the exterior colonial architecture.
From a photographer’s point of view, the most important aspect of the museum is the incredible nearly 360-degree views of the Puebla skyline from the rooftop indoor-outdoor café and terrace.

The brightly decorated church on the hill is the Santuario de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, the most famous landmark in Cholula, Mexico. What most people don't know is that the hill is actually Pirámide Tepanapa, the world largest pyramid (volume wise) and world's largest monument.
