This is Templo de Santa Rosa de Viterbo, Queretaro's most beautiful baroque church with a pagoda-like bell tower. They usually have a lighted water fountain show in front of the church in the evenings, but with my luck they ran out of water when I made this photograph!

The historic center of Queretaro was declared by UNESCO, in 1996, as a World Cultural Heritage Site because of the rich architecture of the many 17th and 18th century religious and civic buildings.
Queretaro, Mexico is a beautiful colonial city, but the magic of the place comes alive at night.

A twilight view of Guanajuato from the Pipila Monument. The Pipila Monument offers the best view of this spectacular city anytime of the day, but watching the city light up at night is something special.
With its amazing places full of color and history, its warm atmosphere of peace and tranquility, and the beautiful people, you’ll feel that your dreams are coming to life. Perhaps this is why UNESCO has named Guanajuato a World Heritage Site.

I am back from a three week trip through the colonial towns of the Northern Central Highlands of Mexico. I had an amazing time, met some incredible people and of course took tons of photographs.
Guanajuato is considered the most beautiful city in all of Mexico. I was very blessed that I was able to capture the city under twilight from the terrace of my hostel. In fact, this was a similar view I had from my bedroom window that I saw everyday when I woke up and when I went to bed.
