These always remind me of the book "Horton Hears A Who" by Dr. Seuss.
When I was little, us kids would pluck these from the grass in the front yard and make a wish and blow on them and my dad would get mad at us, because we were spreading the seeds all over the front lawn and making more of the pesky yellow dandelions sprout up in the yard.
I'm surprised that I was never worried about destroying another little world living on the dandelion. =)

Yesterday I spent the day with my nephew Chucky, my niece-in-law (his wife) Ann, their two kids, my great-niece Emily and great-nephew Noah and their dog Penny in Half Moon Bay. We went to Farmer John's to get pumpkins and walked around town looking in the shops. I had so much fun with them. I've only been over to their house once! Emily will be 13 on the 18th and Noah is 10. I hadn't seen them in over a year. I let my physical health problems and financial situation hold me back a lot of times, but my depression and anxiety come into play a lot of times too and I miss so much! I had my usual anxiety, but once again I overcame it, and fought it in order to drive there and back and get to visit with all of them!
I saw Emily's room and her Science Fair award. Noah showed me his lego town that he built in his room and I saw his baseball trophies and game balls. And he showed me his minecraft game and videos he's made and uploaded to youtube.
Chucky and I watched prank videos and laughed and laughed! It was his 43rd birthday and I was so happy to get to spend it with him.
Ann and I took photos at Farmer John's and around town and got to visit with each other too.
I had so much fun. At one point, I was sitting in the backseat with the 2 kids while Chuck and Ann went into Starbucks and Noah was in the middle and we were looking at the minecraft game on his mom's phone and I got tears in my eyes thinking of what I've missed, but then I just felt overwhelmed with happiness that I had this day with all of them. And I had one of those moments where I was thinking that there was no where else that I'd rather be....

I love seeing lizards and salamanders whenever I'm out in nature! I love the orange color of this one that seems to glow as well as the eyes that I think are really cool looking!
