I met a photographer that was out photographing the birds that I was also attempting to photograph that was kind enough to share some of his knowledge with me. When we were both in the parking lot, he to leave and me to get water out of my car and go try to find some butterflies to try to get some close-up shots of, a butterfly was flying and I wanted it to land so I could try to get some photos of it and it dd land, but on me, on my jacket! =)=)=)
I was so excited, because I've only had a butterfly land on me one other time that I can recall, which was several years ago while on a hike with a friend at Mt. Diablo. (See below).
I love butterflies and I was there that day to try to photograph some overwintering monarchs that I was hoping to see! I felt so lucky and even luckier to have a good photographer standing in front of me with his camera! I asked Charles if he would take some photos of it for me and he was nice enough to do so and email them to me! What a wonderful gift from the butterfly to have it land on me and a wonderful gift from Charles who captured the memory for me!
Charles, if you see this, thank you so much again! =)=)=)=)
After the butterfly flew away and Charles left, I was able to get several shots of the overwintering monarch butterflies!
What a wonderful day! =)
