This yellow wildflower is endemic (found only) in California (Mount Diablo & adjacent uplands, also Briones to Carquinez, and possibly Solano Co.)
This one was growing in the blackened and burned rocks (from the Morgan Fire)

I had never seen this wildflower before, so looked for it this weekend. I only saw a few.
