So I'm starting 52 weeks.

After 2 straight years of daily self-portraits, my husband issued a challenge to only do brightly colored self-portraits for this set. The idea made me squirm uncomfortably, so I figured I should take it on.

I'm starting slow...with one color. :-p

Yeah, I still have a lot of work to do incorporating color.

Why is 52 weeks so much harder than 365?? Blech.

I am having some real depression and angst over my body and my age. I said to my mom recently, "I'm at the age where every time I see myself in the mirror, it comes as a shock." Judging by her reaction, it only gets worse.

Sigh.

I can't even write about it poetically as today is Friday and I have a lot to do and I am tired of the same shit over and over again around me and inside my head. I just can't be bothered to write about it artistically. Heh.

I'm going outside for a brisk walk with my friend Siobhan with the last bits of daylight on what was apparently a nice day, and then get something to eat and watch movies or whatever.

Obviously, I'm completely insane.

I'm sick as can be; my daughter is as sick as can be; so I decide to try something really involved for my 52 weeks SP. I'm sane enough to use it for my YIP photo too, though.

And it is totally ridiculous. LOL!

And my face really hurts. I think I have a sinus infection. The big opening is tomorrow...come on out if you're local so you can make fun of me while I'm hopped up on massive amounts of cold medicine and caffeine. :-)
