Namer Peak 45137 ‘Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment' hammers through Earlestown station with the 12.05 Liverpool - Scarborough on a bright but chilly January 25th 1986.
* Earlestown was more of a principle station in steam days and was first stop out of Lime Street for the Trans Pennine Expresses, achieved in 17 minutes behind a Royal Scot due to the four track sections around Broad Green and Huyton.
To the right is the former Curzon Cinema which by then had become a snooker hall and behind the Peak The Railway Hotel known locally as 'Bottom House'.
