This heritage North Eastern Railway signal box at Kirkham Abbey has a McKenzie & Hollland 16 lever frame. The box controlled the level crossing on the York to Scarborough line south to Barton Hill and north to Malton. It is now a Grade II listed building.

The Laurel Sphinx is a moth of the Sphingidae family. It is found in the temperate parts of the United States and southern Canada east of the Great Plains, in the north it occurs west of the Rocky Mountains. The wingspan is 75–103 mm.
This 42mm pupa arrived today from the USA.
