I filmed this very rare visitor at Eastbourne Beach, New Zealand. It didn't rest for long and was soon moving off to deeper waters.

This vireya produces beautiful large trusses of deep pure orange-coloured trumpets which have a light spicy perfume. This is the first flower produced by this new plant which is growing in our New Zealand home garden.
