More misted games in ancient woodland , as dusk seeps through the mist and the quietness drowns any signs of life.

Nikon Df, 50mm f1.8D, slightly scared, but trying not to show it.

Pembrokeshire, Wales UK.

Dusk looming in ancient Pembrokeshire woodland. A mist and rain filled wander that took on an 'other worldly' feel once the light began to fail.

Nikon Df, 50mm, tripod, wellies, no tea, not even chocolate!

I hear the sound of the world where we played
And the far too simple beauty of the promises we made
If you ever need holding
Call my name, and I'll be there
If you ever need holding
And no holding back, I'll see you through
Sky blue and black

Light playing on the birches on a 'stormy' day overlooking Yatton.

Shot handheld on a Nikon Df with a vintage 75-150mm f3.5 lens.

I've passed this tree many times, always on the way to 'greater' things. But on this occasion I spent some time in the small clearing marvelling at this grand old tree and how it was still striving for the light.

It's a strange sensation when you can hear the deep breathing of a large beast nearby and you know it is going to come out of the mist on one side of you, the imagination runs riot and creates all sorts of scenarios.
In the end, it was just a horse and I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to try and capture it in the beautiful soft misty light.
Bircher Common, Herefordshire.
