I just came back from a nighttime photo walk with my camera. Over at the Menlo Park, Calif., train station, things were pretty quiet.
(By the way, many thanks to the brain trust that invented lens stabilization. No tripod needed.)

I brought a snack on this excursion last week, but spent more time taking pics than actually eating. Besides, the wind was blowing my food all over the place. Regardless, the Pacific Ocean view made up for it.

Yesterday was my wife’s birthday. One of her gifts involved chocolate, which she loves. As she is a very healthy eater, she'll likely only have 3-4 selections from this box.
So, this means that for yours truly and his post-lunch coffee, there are some nice treats for dessert.
Photo-wise, inventing film simulations on the X100V –– or likely any new camera –– is truly addictive. I copied a film sim from fujixweekly.com, then tweaked every camera parameter like some sort of crazed druggie, and this is the look I ended up with.

After my wife retires this year, we will be moving to a new home. (Yes, we are very, very lucky people.) Visiting the lot in its current state shows only a hydrant in place. As I am terrible around the house, and pretty much terrible at everything, I think the hydrant is perfect. It warns us that I am likely to burn the new place down by simply changing a light bulb. #planningahead

As posted in the past, I often pass by area farms and fences on my daily walks. Today, I took a new route. The owners must have heard that I'd be in the area, as the signage indicates. Thankfully, they didn't post "no photos."
