well, apparently when you can't go to the birds, the birds come to you. this hawk landed outside our window, and the intense look was not to inquire about our COViD status (we are all well). It was lunch related. moments later it landed on the grass and grabbed a small snake or rodent (yes, the yard is too big to tell). I missed the takeoff trying to set the lens on a tripod so i can photographed the takeoff before my arm fell off.. an image of this bird (or its mate) with lunch is in the comments
