This enormous church dates from the early 13th century with fabric dating from the Norman to Victorian eras. It is so large because it supported a college of priests in the Middle Ages. The pilars are made of solid chestnut wood.

The Red Lion is a 13th Century Inn in Wingham and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book as one of the Archibishop of Canterbury's manors in the middle ages.

This fine timber-framed building was built in 1286 and stands opposite the church of St Mary in Wingham. It was originally a canon's house in the middle ages.
