The Black Horse pub was originally a farmhouse surrounded by its own moat, then it was the bailiff's house from which the Dering estate was managed. It was built in 1450, opened as a public house in 1474, and is reputedly the most haunted pub in Britain. Pluckley is the most haunted village in the country.

Near Pluckley in Kent
