This is one of the strangest buildings you'll ever see. The former Belvédère du Rayon Vert hotel, designed in the art déco style by the Perpignan architect, Léon Baille, was built between 1928 and 1932 and has the overall appearance of a ship. It has its own cinema and a tennis court on the roof. In 2002, the building was added to the supplementary list of historic monuments.

This is the old customs checkpoint on the French side of the border. Behind it is the Port France Bar & Souvenirs shop. They've been closed for years.
