I have five of these pepper/spice grinders done now. Six if you count the prototype, which I retrieved from the kitchen to complete the arrangement here. Lynda thinks they look like Daleks (from Dr Who), hence the title.

I'm not even sure how I came to have this piece of maple, it had a bit of spalting at one end so I tucked it away thinking I might someday be able to do something with it. There's even a wormhole, I think. Not the space-time kind of wormhole, just a regular wormhole. Also featuring a cork-lined stopper for a "pop" fit, as they call it. Not the kind of pop fit where Madonna yells at the paparazzi, just the regular kind where the stopper makes a "pop" when you remove it.
