Snow's ability to cling to itself and defy gravity has become quite evident in the last few days. The longer it takes to fall, the more there'll be to shovel, so I hope it stays up there forever...

Okay, this is getting alarming - after several days of nearly continuous squalls, these snowdrifts in the sky are hanging overhead just about everywhere around our house.

One fell on me and one of the dogs today, from an archway over the back gate, but it was a smaller one - we shook it off without incident.

This one is right over the garage door, which means I'll be shovelling it eventually...
