While undeniably beautiful, and a photo op not to be ignored, seen from this angle it's clear that these frozen waves of overhanging snow are sure to be trouble at some point...

After week one of the rec room reno, everything that is being ripped out has been ripped out, holes that need patching have been patched, the dust has literally settled and painting has begun. Next week, painting will get finished and a new panel box will be built. All this in a timely and professional way by skilled craftsmen who are not me.

On Wednesday, December 13th, the moving van arrived at our new home with all our worldly possessions, apart from the few things I had moved myself about six weeks earlier. By the end of the day, we had boxes up to the ceiling in most rooms, and a two-car garage-sized pile of stuff in our now single-car garage.

It may be a while before I can get at my table saw.
