It's not been the best year for the fall colours where I am, so I thought I'd dig into the archives and scan some old 4x6 prints from back in the day (in this case, 1990).

Jones Falls (pano crop)

Before the snow all melts, which won't be long now at this rate, I thought I should get some shots of Jones Falls and the Pottawattomi River. This is a tighter crop that features the falls more prominently.

Where Two Rivers Meet (redux)

West of Kamloops, BC, Canada,
September 2003.

The Thompson River (blue) has settled out most of its green-tinting rock flour during its passage through Kamloops Lake, whereas the faster-moving Fraser River retains its distinctive green colour.

You can see the two colours quite clearly on the satellite view !!

"Redux" means I'm revisiting selected pics from a previous series, in order to bring them some personal attention in the post processing that they missed the first time around.

In this case, a tighter crop, a little noise reduction, and some HDR (PS S&H actually) to bring out the sky a bit better. Nothing too weird though.
