A pretty nice grouping of the two brightest planets plus the crescent moon, and a clear sky, got me out into the cold air this evening.

What's cool about this one is how well you can see the Earthshine portion of the thin crescent moon. The brightly lit crescent area threatens to "blow out" the rest of the moon (and in many shots it does) but here you can get a good look at the earthshine area, that portion of the moon which is illuminated only by sunlight reflecting off the Earth (unlike the crescent which is lit directly by the Sun). To the unaided eye, the Earthshine portion is just barely detectable.
