Somewhere between Calgary and Banff, along the Trans-Canada Highway. For a while, on the way to Banff, you don't see the distant Rockies due to the surrounding terrain, then you come around a bend in the highway and the land drops away in front of you and all of a sudden the mountains are
right there, looming large and far closer than the last time you saw them.
