A Mourning Cloak (Known in the UK as a Camberwell Beauty) taken at the El Dorado Nature Center, Los Angeles, California (USA) on the 10th March 2011.

As you can see, this one is in just about perfect condition (NOT!). I saw about five of these during my stay, but unfortunately this was the only one that landed for a photo!

It's a species i've never seen in the wild, so i'm very pleased!
