Endemic to Pacific side slope of Mexico. Quite common, third bird I saw after black vulture and great kiskadee.

These are very shy birds. I had seen this one on a cliff near where we live back in January. I have read that the are quite territorial and will return to their favorite perch often. I have returned several times and today I got lucky. He came by for about 5 seconds and that was long enough!

West of Williams Lake, the Belcher's Prairie is some of teh most northerly prairie in British Columbia. I had a unique experience with a flock of bout twenty bluebirds. They were flying around me, feeding and landing nearby without regard for my presence.

Very similar markings to the mistle thrush. In the field , it was easier as the Song thrush was noticable smaller than the Mistle Thrush. Much harder to distinguish when looking at the photos later.
