Thhis is my first Snowy Owl of the season. When I first saw it silohetted on the post from a distance , I wasn;'t quite sure what it was. Once I got closer , I realized that it looked different because I could see its wings. It stayed that way for about 20 minutes until the wind picked up, then it shook its feathers and voila: the normal profile with the hidden wings! |
