This Prairie Falcon managed to finish feeding most of the pigeon, but it was interrupted by a Raven. The falcon lost the carcass while trying to carry the remainder of the carcass to another location. It was interesting to see this falcon flying around with the beak open as if the food was not completely swallowed. Enjoy!

Another break from posting Cuba vacation photos.
This falcon must have been perching there the whole time after finishing its meal (pigeon). It was also a good break from the flight shots of this falcon we've been getting.

This series shows the Gyrfalcon being chased by a Raven, then suddenly the Gyrfalcon turned around and striked the Raven. The Raven didn't suffer any damage. Just too bad the 5D2's slow 4 fps didn't capture all that action.
