In between looking for nest material and building its nest, this wren would perch on the reeds and call out loud for its presence.

Ran into Dale Scott at the entrance of the trail. Nice to meet you Dale! We had a great time shooting some House Wrens, E. Kingbirds, Yellow Warblers, and Bald Eagles along the trail. Just wish those vampires (mosquitoes) weren't there.

I ran into him and his friend John this evening and we watched the adult B. Eagle flew by the nest. Oh, by the way Dale, I think I spooked the adult Bald Eagle on my way out of the trail. Hope you caught the adult again.
