William Hawrelak Park, Edmonton, AB, Canada
May 27, 2011
Don D left me a message in voicemail on Thursday night regarding about these birds and possibly the Eurasian-Collared Doves. So I went to the park on Friday after work to photograph them. After all the discussions read, these doves were later ID'd as possibly the Barbary Doves (aka Ring-necked Doves, Cape Turtle Doves), and might be irresponsibly released into the wild. These birds are domesticated and typically live in captivity. Hope they survive and/or find a rightful owner.
