Like most of us with a permanent darkroom, there is that shelf/cabinet/box that contains things that was put aside for some reason or another. I found two bags of Microdol X a couple of days ago and decided to mix up a gallon - just to see if it still was working. It was - and though I am not a great fan of the Microdol X - I set out to shoot some film for it. It is a nice, smooth, fine grain developer - but you loose about 3/4 of a stop! Could not find any reference times for it - decided on 16 minutes with a 1:1 dilution. Worked out reasonably well - except when I forgot to open up that crucial 3/4 stop! So, no I have enough left to do another 20 rolls (2 gallons with the 1:1 dilution) so I will persist and shoot some more.

Not even bright sunlight enhancing the sculptural quality of the Mustang II can make it look good. Small, cramped and rather anemic - it was a bit of an insult to the original concept of the Mustang.

This is a very early Summicron 35mm f2.0 - the 8 element version. It is flare prone - to put it mildly. No, before you say it - the glass is clean! When it came out in 1958 it was a bit of a sensation - today it is a good lens - but not spectacular!

The duck pond is a bit "flooded" to the great joy of the ducks. I suspect that they are trying to figure out how to hire some beavers to block the outflow and then they could flood the whole park!
