but Tuulikki being a Finn felt too private to participate
and Mr B wasn't interested at all so here goes - trying to fit my life into 16 points!

#1/ Born in Uppsala, Sweden in 1943. Even christened in the Cathedral by someone who became Archbishop later on. Apart from some weddings and funerals I have since stayed away from churches and organized religion!

#2 At the age of 4, we moved to Jonkoping (home of the Swedish Match Company) and I discovered that I could "leave home" with some careful planning. If I left after lunch and came home in time for dinner - I could spend the day traveling on the local trams.

#3 Yet another move at age of 5, to southern Sweden, province of Skane. Lived in the middle of a lot of nature and worked in it during summers from age 12 trying to modify to fit my idea of it. I am still suspicious of it! My first job was clearing brush around planted trees. My father managed a forest property and thought that, good, hard work would keep me in line. Just goes to prove how wrong parents can be!

#4 At the age of 16 I had to leave home due to lack of further schooling in said nature. My parents rented me a small house in the town of Lund (university town). Here I spent many years accumulating bad habits and schooling. Great fun.

#5 Decided to get some degrees and after some random selections, got one in Journalism and one in Clinical Chemistry - topped it up later with a degree in Industrial Design.

#6 In 1966 I met Tuulikki in London and after a brief courtship, involving traveling between Stockholm and Helsinki every weekend, we married in 1967.

#7 Our contemporaries got married and put down payments on houses. We decided to drive around the world instead for 18 months.

#8 The photography was always a part of my life since 14. There were times when I did less of it and times when I made my living from it. The camera was never far away - and still remains close by.

#9 I also have a great deal of interest in cars and motorcycles. It started as the means to go somewhere, but also presented a challenge. How to keep a wreck alive and make it do things it was never designed for. A brief tally - I have owned 100+ cars, bought 4 new - the rest used to extremely used!

#10 Over the years Tuulikki and I have lived in 7 countries & 3 continents (Sweden, Finland, Denmark,Australia,California, France and for the last 34 years, off and on in Canada) We have travelled to and through about 50 other countries. Still left to go to Latin America and India. Antartica is out as I hate snow and ice!

#11 Politically I am probably a cynic with certain socialist tendencies - but I am leaning more to the cynicism as I get older and the elected politicians get more and more crooked!

#12 I love reading and movies. Omniverous too - I will read anything from classics to schlock. We are both avid movie buffs - probably see anywhere from 200-300 movies a year.

#13 Not particularly philosophical in my attitude. Not really a "team guy". Never understood why the opinion of 51% is necessary the right one.

# 14 One of my motto's "The grass is probably closer to 18% grey on the other side of the fence".

#15 My other motto is "OK, I will march, but it damned well be to my owner drummer"

#16 My best idea ever; marrying Tuulikki in 1967.

I like the 50mm f2.5 Color Skopar, both in LTM and SC mount. When you dont need the speed - it is nice and compact and very sharp. Quite contrasty, but not "harsh".

About a 50% crop. The Rodinal in stand development is not a particularly fine grained "soup" - but it does give a nice sharp edge.
