A photo from this Easter, of the beautiful white-tailed eagle called N4 68 on its ring.
It is a male who turns 9 years old now. It was ringed in a nest in Tysvær, one hour and so by car south of the island I'm from called Bømlo, where it has spent its adult life.

We met many groups of giraffes walking like this, in Masai Mara last summer. This is close to our camp.
It was extra cool to see their silhouettes like this when they walked on ridges.

A male black grouse (Lyrurus tetrix) in one of the few minutes with great morning light this morning.
When I got the chance to meet these beautiful black grouses for the first time and watch their lek, I just had to take it. So last night I went out in the wild, with a sleeping bag, a backpack filled with wool, and the little 70-200mm on my camera. Luckily, it wasn't too far to walk, since my body isn't quite into that at the time.
I had 6 males making a lot of noise outside the tent during twilight last night. I had taken down the camera to go to sleep, but was quick to get it back up silently, to photograph and film them posing and fighting.
Today 5 of them woke me up at 4:48 (after a cold night), and I photographed and filmed them for 3.5 hours. They posed both right in front of me and in the trees, and they were fighting a lot. A wonderful experience!

We stood really close to these lions with our jeep, one early morning in Masai Mara last summer.
They laid down most of the time, but after some wait, the male finally lifted his head a couple of times. I also got photos of him yawning ツ
