Urbino is one of the most important centers of the historical period called the Renaissance, whose architectural legacy it still fully preserves; since 1998 its historic center has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's home to one of the oldest and most important universities in Europe, founded in 1506.

A small railway tollhouse in the countryside near Urbino, regione Marche Not a train has passed through here since January 31, 1987, but everything is perfect time seems to have stood still.
Un piccolo casello ferroviario nella campagna vicino ad Urbino. Faceva parte della linea Fano -Urbino, chiusa il 31 gennaio 1987, ma tutto è in perfetto stato di conservazione e manutenzione. Qui il tempo sembra essersi fermato.

A surprising place !
From left to right in historical chronology, the Roman bridge over the Metauro river, the Medieval tower, the 14th century mill where Fabriano's master paper start paper production, and the 19th century chimney when in the same factory start textiles production.
Un luogo sorprendente !
Uno sguardo, pietre antiche tante storie
Da sinistra a destra in successione storica, il ponte romano sul Metauro, la Torre Medievale, l''opificio del 1300 in cui i maestri cartai di Fabriano diffusero questa produzione e la ciminiera del 19 secolo, quando la produzione di tessuti sostituì quella della carta.
