The poppies at the Tower of London offer a time to reflect on the 888,246 British Service Men who lost their lives during World War 1. By the 11 November this year there will be a ceramic poppy for every single one of those brave souls in the moat right around the Tower. This tribute by artist Paul Cummins is called Blood Swept Lands And Seas Of Red.

A four shot stich of the alpine view from the top of Monte Baldo Lake Garda Italy. Forgive my indulgence but I needed brightening up on a soggy day in Surrey.

A cable car ride from Malcesine takes you up Monte Baldo. Where as you can see the panoramic views are fantastic. Here we are looking south down the length of Lake Garda. This is 3 shots that have been stitched together to give some appreciation of scale although it's difficult to really do it justice I think.
