Not recent shots these but as its the fungi season I thought they were worth posting. The Fly Agaric is probably one of our most recognisable fungi with its red cap and white spots.

I think I know the ID of this one, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. The shape and textures of this fungi are fascinating I think.

I love the way old stumps provide life, these fungi are making the most of the rotting timber. Id would be useful if anyone can help.

The Birch Bolete as it's name suggests is found growing amongst stands of birch trees, its quite a common species, however, it's new one to me. It can be found growing from June - October it grows to a height of around 15cm or 6 inches.
